Summary of Minutes from Clachan Village Hall Board Meeting

Main Points
Hall Update
• The radiators have been fitted and are working.
• The decorating preparation is well under way and decorating will be completed soon.
• Trees have been felled and there is now a carpark area beside the Hall.
• There is a possibility of funding for Phase 2 of the Hall renovation which is being investigated.
• A slight change to plans for the extension is being considered to avoid the expense of demolishing the ‘vestry’.
Website
• The website is becoming more user friendly with further updates.
Next Events
Duck Race – Saturday 4th April, 2pm
Ducks will hopefully be on sale prior to the event this year.
Donations of baking to sell with teas/coffees will be asked for.
The big marquee will be going up again soon – volunteers will be required.
Clachan Car Boot – Sunday 29th March at 1pm – please note Car Boot will now be on the last Sunday of the month.
Welfare Unit
• There is remedial work to be carried out on the welfare unit, which will be carried out in the near future.
Sub Groups
• A document detailing the Terms of Reference and remits for three sub groups was discussed and agreed, paving the way for the formation of the groups.
• Volunteers will be sought for groups working on communication, Hall grounds and fundraising.
Grand Raffle
• We are actively looking for donations for prizes for a grand raffle, to be drawn at the end of the year.
Hall Open Day
• There will be an open day at the Hall in the near future – once work is complete – providing an opportunity for people to view the Hall and have a cup of tea/coffee.
