Dear SCIO members, Clachan residents and friends of Clachan,
We are delighted to inform you that yesterday Argyll and Bute Building
Standards, after inspection of the Village Hall, have issued a completion
certificate regarding the phase 1 renovation so the Hall can now be used for
user group activities, the first of which will be the Art Show this weekend.
We plan to host a formal opening day on Saturday September 12th to which all
Clachan households are welcome to attend, details to follow.
We have applied for substantive funding from the SSEN Local Community Fund
towards the phase 2 renovation and extension of the vestry annexe to provide
the additional toilet facilities, catering area, small meeting room and extra
storage space to enable a fully functional community hub and we should hear
later in the year whether the bid is successful.
